Brendan Harper is a Senior at The Catholic University of America. He is pursuing a Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance with a concentration in conducting. He has been studying piano for fifteen years, and currently studies with Dr. Ivo Kaltchev, Head of the Piano Academic Area at Catholic University. He has performed nationally around the Maryland, Virginia, and DC area, including different churches, nursing homes, theaters, and The Kennedy Center. Recently, Brendan has made his international debut in Vienna, Austria through the Music Academy Orpheus Festival. He has played and studied music from all time periods, specializing in Romantic, Impressionistic, and Jazz music. Brendan has been teaching piano, along with music theory and aural skills for more than five years. He has taught all ages, ranging in different levels and interests. He strives to instill courage in performing, healthy technique, efficient practice methods, and love of the music in his teaching.
